Ceiling Fan Cleaning Dallas-Fort Worth, TX

Calm Winds from Above

A ceiling fan is a mechanical fan, suspended from the ceiling of a room, that uses hub-mounted rotating paddles to circulate air.

Ceiling fans rotate much more slowly than an electric desk fan; they cool people effectively by introducing slow movement into the otherwise still, hot air of a room, inducing evaporative cooling.

Fans never actually cool air, but unlike air conditioning they use significantly less power.

An American History

The first ceiling fans appeared in the early 1860s and 1870s, in the United States. The first powered ceiling fan was invented in 1882 by Philip Diehl. Each fan had its own self-contained motor unit, with no need for a belt drive. Over the next few decades, most ceiling fans were made with four blades instead of the original two, which made fans quiet and efficient.

How Many Blades?

There are a great variety of fans available today. They come in a variety of sizes and functions, from modest models to larger, more powerful ones that can cover greater areas.

Whichever ceiling fan you decide to install, remember it can only achieve maximum aesthetic appeal if you keep it clean. If it’s too inconvenient to maintain, AcuClean can help. Call us at 817-919-3792 if you need your ceiling fans cleaned.
